This is an old, old, old hotel in Tempe near ASU campus.
Valet is complimentary, they just operate on tips. There's free, unsecured wifi available all throughout the facility. You can relax and chat in the beautiful Mediterranean villa-like courtyard that features comfortable seating and orange trees. Best of all, the hotel is located in a great area that's walking distance to tons of restaurants and shops. There's a restaurant and pool on premises. Your room has an a la carte snack bar with drinks and candy for purchase ($5 each item).
Here are some of the things I didn't like: Electrical outlets are not accessible; we had to actively move furniture around to charge our phones. The bathroom door is a sliding barn door which was a bad design choice for privacy. The interior is fairly dated. Also the price is kind of ridiculous for the quality of digs. Perhaps it was just a busy weekend but the bill was $260/night.
