| - Some people find love in Paris. I found love at Nadege.
It just happened to be wedged between several layers of smoked salmon, in a perfect croissant.
I know this place is known for its macarons, but its other pastries/sandwiches also deserve the hype. I had the smoked salmon sandwich with a small latte (strong and delicious!) and my bill came to about $12. I went back in line afterwards to satisfy my sweet tooth and came out with three macarons (pistachio, chocolate, salted caramel) and an almond-chocolate pastry. Overall, I spent around 25$ which is a bit more than I would have liked to spend on a small lunch, but it was tasty, the spot was beautiful, and the service was excellent.
The ladies behind the counter were courteous, quick and always smiling. They were quick to help us to a clean table, and even in the midst of an out-the-door lineup, didn't rush us away while my friends sipped their tea. I love the simple decor and the awesome glass window that lets you see Nadege and her team at work! We spotted her working some chocolate piping while casually chatting with another chef, and I kind of decided I love her.
This spot is worth the trip back!
