  • I thought I would share my experience trying to book a flight with allegiant. I went to one of the websites to compare flights from Plattsburgh NY to fort Lauderdale Florida. Allegiant had the cheapest price by about $10. I decided to book both flights. My ticket costs were $750 round trip. Ok. I then proceed to the next screen where they tell me it will be $120 to check 2 bags if I buy now or $200 the day of. OK. I add it in. Some how when i get to the end the price miraculously jumps back up to $200 and won't change. Next screen "seat selection fee". Every seat on the plane is open and ever seat adds at least $20. So that's another $80. Oh you want to carry on a bag too? $40 each. Don't forget about the " additional fees " of over $200 by clicking to the next page. By the time you are done the flight selection tickets cost TWICE what a reputable airline costs. I will never deal with a company like this and if I could give zero stars I would. STAY AWAY!
