| - I actually live closer to the Sundance Theater, but I prefer to drive a bit more out to the Marcus Point theater because of two reasons: 1) their film selection, and 2) their La-Z-Boy recliner seats.
I myself enjoy somewhat obscure films such as those played at Cannes, Venice, or Berlin. Films like "Mr. Turner", "Blue is the Warmest Color", "Spotlight", and other Oscar bait are available here, sometimes exclusively so. So for an film buff like myself, I appreciate deeply their efforts to cater to my obscure tastes.
What certainly won't only appeal to obscure tastes are their fabulously comfortable seating. They are absolutely enormous, and they can be reclined with a switch. The seats are all-leather, and you just sink into their cushions. It makes sitting through a long film, whether auteur or blockbuster, just that much more comfortable.
NB: discount days are half-price Tuesdays, student half-price Thursdays, and half-price first showings of the day. Double check this though, I'm basing this purely off of my memory.
