| - Place is hard to find at night, it is hidden in an industrial strip plaza, the bright neon sign in the window helps. The Asian receptionist was pleasant and this no frill studio is somewhat clean and not pretentious ....and no pressure selling like Goodlife or LA Fitness. Don't expect luxury here, minimalist decor, old sofa's and broken chair, but the studio is open, has varnished cork floors that is warm to the feet. I am here to work out, not get pampered like some spa.
The studio isn't overcrowded like some places like Yoga Tree, Moksha and Mitra, the flow classes were pretty similar. The Power, Hot Core and Weight Loss was my favourites, it felt like a real workout and the male teacher was totalling amazing and cute. He explains the pose and how to get deeper into them, does corrections (LOVE THAT) and motivates and pushes us hard and encourage us to have fun. The classes seem to attract all levels from beginners to advance.
I am surprised this place isn't more crowded for the price and the mostly female members are friendly and not posers in Lululemon doing the stare downs. I highly recommend this hot yoga studio in Scarborough if you want to practice yoga and not get hung up on decor and attitude...unless that is what you are into.
