My parents recently bought a 2015 Honda Accord and I convinced them NOT to purchase the "advanced security package" for an additional $500. I told them I would bring it to a non-dealership business to have them install it as it would most likely be cheaper. This was about 3 months ago and although I forget the managers' name, I have not forgotten how straightforward he was. He took one look at the car and informed me that given the make and model of the car, the baseline security system was more than adequate and there was nothing "extra" that needed to be done. He acknowledged he could sell me something fancy like keyless entry but it would be superfluous for my parents. He basically talked me out of a sale which I find respectable. I didn't end up purchasing anything from this business, but the manager's honesty resonated with me so much that I had to leave a review for his business.
