I was in here just a few days ago with my partner as she wanted to buy an "Open Box" lens. The cost of the lens was roughly $1,400 or $1,500 with tax. Now when we called the salesperson over to help, she said, "oh I sold you the ____ lens before which you returned" - now the one in which she said this was extremely rude. My partner being from Asia didn't pick up on the tones so I let it go as I didn't want to cause any issues.
Now I can completely understand that the salesperson was probably unhappy that she returned the previous lens as she didn't get a commission on it. With that said, we've spent $10,000+ dollars at future shop in the past 4 months on 2 high end DSLR's and about 5 or 6 lenses. If she decides to return one lens because it isn't to the standard she thought it would be, SO WHAT - that is what 14 day return policies are for - if you don't want returns don't have the policies....
Lucky for her that my partner actually loves the new lens and won't return it but part of me wants to tell her so we return it due to service... really is time to find a small local vendor who offers service with a higher price but better service or shop online and say no to FUTURE SHOP.
