| - This is my favourite Goodlife in Toronto - and I feel like I've been to them all!
It's a small, two floor space but somehow packs everything you need in there in a logical layout - three squat/power racks, a GHR, lots of cardio equipment, decent amount of free floor space you can stretch or lunge in, spare barbells and several cable stacks. The TRX area takes up a lot of space, but the trainers do use it, unlike in some other goodlifes where it gathers dust, so I won't complain (much). Equipment is always kept in good shape and the space generally is very clean.
Front desk staff and the trainers are super personable and seem like they enjoy their jobs and each other. Never been interrupted for sales pitches on the gym floor. The other patrons are also a friendly bunch and are the rare gymgoers whose parents taught them to share - they actually put things back where they found them, for the most part! Changerooms are clean, lots of lockers, have a couple of private changing cubicles if that's your thing.
This location is chaotic on weekday evenings, but that's true of every gym I've ever been to; mornings and weekends are less busy. One star removed for early weekend closing time. Overall very happy to work out here.
