I have insurance with The General and when I called for a tow on my Roadside Assistance coverage, they used this company.
I got the old bait-and-switch on the price for the extra miles. The rep on the phone--NOT a General employee, but also apparently not an employee of this company(?)--quoted me one price. When the driver arrived, it was 33% more. (Somehow 17 miles became 17.4, and I was told I'd be charged for 18)
I refused, not just because of the money but the principle. I don't like being jacked around.
The driver and the dispatcher he called on his cell to speak with me were both unapologetic.
I'll just call the much superior S&D Towing from now on (I wish The General would use them instead).
