  • Here's the deal. We came here to see the neurologist. While some people have awesome, life saving experiences, I was less than impressed. Our dog was off meds so they could see him as is, which was tough, then they let him wriggle in pain through a consult. Seriously? Do you not see the dog panting, convulsing in pain, whining? Thanks for waiting until the last possible minute to help out. We came here for a consult. What they did was pinch between by dogs toes, walk him on a mat, and tell us they needed to do a ct scan and some other uber expensive scan.for 300 bucks. (1800.00 for the scans and he would need to be sedated...not fun for bulldogs) Did they even take a basic xray? (back issues) no. did they ask for the previous xray done at our normal vet? no. but they did want to suggest surgery and extra testing and pretty much told us the low laser therapy was unproven and basically just something that wouldn't hurt but probably wouldn't help. Unproven or not, it has worked for our dog, who went from not walking, not being able to use his back legs, and not being able to even reposition himself in bed, and being carried everywhere to walking, leg lifting, and trotting around (he would do more but trying to keep him limited) All without the 6k surgery and testing. Turns out surgery would not have helped and a simple 45 dollar xray would have told them that. So, question everything. Just because they are "specialists" doesn't mean they aren't going to try to get their money out of it. We would do anything for our dog and if the surgery was the way to go, then yes, we would have done it, but it wasn't and I am glad we didn't waste the money or the wear and tear on our dog. Am I going to say this clinic is bad? Nope. Because I am sure there are plenty of people who's needs have been met and it was great. Probably lots of emergency things that were saved. But for us, I will not be back.
