I am an owner that has four homes rented and managed by the McKenna Team. All the employees have been responsive and professional. They have answered my questions promptly. I really appreciate the prompt and efficient communication through emails. They ask direct questions about repairs, leasing, et cet and I can respond with a quick email and we do not have to play phone tag endlessly.
I am especially pleased with the leasing as I have had the homes rented for almost five years and among the units have had a total of one month with one unit vacant. They vet tenants well and the tenants have maintained the properties.
Two of the rentals were marketed to me by Tim McKenna, the principal, and they have turned out to be fantastic investments.
The repair work on the units is done professionally and at a reasonable cost. The McKenna Team is willing to listen to my ideas about third party labor and contractors to save money at times.
My only critical comment is that no one has ever suggested to me that I raise the rent on renewals. I have simply advised them to renew the tenant if the tenant will accept a small increase. So far all have accepted the increases. The McKenna Team may err on the side of keeping good tenants who pay and do not trash properties which I think is good but I request a small increase on renewal unless they have good information as to why the market will not bear the increase.
I have several acquaintances who have also had the McKenna Team manage their properties and all are very happy with the service.
