  • We ate here for my fiance's birthday dinner. He loves barbeque and I wanted to come to this location instead of the original in Plaza Midwood so that our family and friends joining us wouldn't have such a dreadful parking experience. The parking lot was actually pretty busy, but it was restaurant week so I'm sure that contributed to it. The service we received when I called to make our reservation was absolutely above and beyond. Normally you call a restaurant they ask for how many people are attending and what time and that's it. Midwood Smokehouse asked if we would like to use their private dining room for the birthday gathering, if we had any and all accommodations for elders, babies, allergies, and if we would be bringing a birthday cake. The services we received when we arrived matched the host to a T. They were so attentive with every question we asked and the services that we needed. Of course, I cannot leave out the best part, the FOOD! I ordered the brisket and when the waiter put my food down in front of me I asked if I could have a knife and different waitress said "Oh you shouldn't need a knife and if you do our kitchen staff will be fired." SHE WAS RIGHT! The brisket was so tender and beyond delicious. I had the hush puppies and baked beans, they were both absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back for both the lovely staff and great food.
