| - I've been here many times the past two years and I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! I think I would always attempt to write one but kanack attack (food coma) hits me & then I KO, sadly forgetting to submit a review. Therefore, here I go.. finally!
Pros: AYCE, $16.99/person (CHEAP!), good customer service, FOOD.
Cons: "Hut" in Tofu Hut is the absolute TRUTH; very small restaurant. Wait times could be very, very icky.
The meats are absolutely delicious. My favorites would have to Marinated Ribeye, Short Ribs (Kalbi) & Marinated Spicy Pork Belly. Banchans (sides) were yummy too and that Steamed Egg doe, mmmmm. Love the fish cake, bean sprouts & jap chae noodles. I always skip the big bowl of salad though; I am not a fan of that. I guess it's the carnivore in me.
I've gone there different times in the day and the most quiet time surprisingly was lunch time on a Sunday. Came around 1130 AM & it wasn't packed at all. I guess wait times are a hit or miss but it's worth the wait and they're open till after midnight so pick your time accordingly. Also, the servers are just great. After dining at Woonam Jung Lee's Korean BBQ & receiving the absolute WORST customer service (Hence, my review on them, grr), Tofu Hut surpasses them by a mile or two or maybe even more!
In all honesty though, after dining here 324987598 times, I have never gotten any bad service, eaten anything unappetizing & waited too long to dine. So yes Yelp, you are definitely correct: "Yay! I'm a fan." :)
