  • In a nutshell, I couldn't be happier with Adams Pool Solutions. Let me begin by saying that I am very thorough and always do my homework. I searched the NV State Contractors Board, the National Plasterers Council, the Better Business Bureau, and the internet for every pool company that I could find in Las Vegas who were licensed to do their own plastering (why hire a pool company who must then turn around and hire a pool "plasterer" ?). After reading every review that I could find, I chose 5 pool plastering companies to give me a bid. All 5 companies had both good and bad reviews. I chose Adams to do the job for the following reasons: 1) They have been rated by the BBB for 18 years !! and have an A+ rating !! 2) The bid proposal that I received said that they had been in business since 1953 !! 3) Their bid price came in the middle ... not the highest ... not the lowest. 4) While all 5 companies had bad reviews, the bad reviews for Adams seemed to deal with scheduling problems, not the quality of their workmanship. 5) They were also licensed to do concrete work which was important to me because of the crack in my pool which I will explain later 6) Lastly, but probably most important, I trusted their salesman Bernie. He seemed to be a good ol' boy ... honest and trustworthy ... who had been doing this a long time. While some of the other bidders made a big issue out of the crack in my pool, Bernie said no big deal ... we fix cracks all the time (and remember my research showed that they had a concrete license to do such repairs). I told Bernie that I'd like to save some money by having my own guy do the tile work ... and he said no problem. I told Bernie that I'd like to buy a dolphin and install it myself to save money ... and he said no problem. Bernie made me feel that he was not there to pinch every last penny out of me and made me feel very comfortable. When I signed my contract on 4-24-17 Bernie told me that my chip-out would begin sometime during the week of May 22 and soon thereafter my coordinator Evelyn told me that my plaster was scheduled to be done 6-28-17. The chip-out crew actually began work on 5-19-17, the friday afternoon before the week of the 22nd ! The chip-out crew showed up at 7am the following monday, tuesday and wednesday and worked the entire day to finish the job. One of the workers told me that my pool was one of the most difficult pools that he had ever done ... and I believed him. My pool is big and had two layers of plaster. And I watched those 3 guys chip out my pool for 3 and a half full days in 100+ degree heat! I was afraid that Adams Pools might ask for more money, but they did not. After the chip-out was complete, I called Evelyn and asked her to send out a supervisor to inspect the crack in my pool that I knew was going to be a problem from the start. She sent out Chris, who told me that they could fix it the cheap way or the more expensive way, epoxy injection. I appreciated having a choice, because I believe most companies would not have offered the cheaper option. I opted for the more expensive epoxy injection, so Adams sent out Jim who was the supervisor of this procedure. Jim seemed to have been doing this a long time and knew what he was talking about. To my surprise and delight, Jim said that my pool was not a good candidate for epoxy injection and that for me, the cheaper option was actually better. Now how many companies would offer to do a less expensive repair when they know darn well that you are willing to pay more? I asked Jim if they could do the repair that week ... he said yes ... and two guys came out two days later and fixed the crack. Now ... soon after signing my contract, Evelyn told me that my pool was scheduled to be plastered on 6-28-17. And guess what ? At 6 am on 6-28-17 the plaster crew showed up and did a wonderful job. In summary, I could not be happier. Bernie said that Adams Pool would do a good job on chipping out and plastering my pool ... and they did a great job. Even though I'm sure that my chip-out turned out to be more difficult than most, Adams Pool did the work as agreed and did not ask for more money. Bernie said that my crack was no big deal ... and Chris and Jim made sure that it wasn't. I was happy to have the opinion of two supervisors for the price of one. Evelyn said that my pool would be plastered on 6-28-17 ... and it was. In conclusion, I am glad that I chose a company who has been in business since 1953. All of the employees that I dealt with seemed knowledgeable, experienced, and I trusted their input. And they all made themselves available to me and took my phone calls. They did not overcharge me, even when they could have. They did a great job, and they did it on time.
