Supposedly the best seafood house in Pittsburgh and if you really know fish... this place will sorely disappoint you. That start positive and view is amazing but so what, I am here to eat and not take $200 photos. Let's start with service. All nice but clearly not managed and trained well. Forgot bread, did not show us the wine before pouring, clumsily dripped it on each refill. Came in on wrong side with nearly everything crossing your face with his arm. Ok to the fish. Preparations are 1980s with heavy sauces, lots of "crusts" and side from an old steak house. Assuming it is fresh, I want to taste the fish and not the sauce. Seems like they are hiding it. It would also help to know the fish. Description of rock fish was like a red snapper, flaky but with meatier taste. Wrong. It is super dense like a swordfish so the preparation he raved about make it too heavy. Apps were also average and uninspired. Soup was ok but it is soup. For over $100 per person in Pittsburgh it should be better. This place is resting on its laurels and needs a total refresh. With all the creative new Food coming to our town... this place is a pass and spend your date night enjoying something you will remember.
