Beware your eardrums here.
Went to see Godzilla in 3D IMAX this afternoon. I've not seen an IMAX movie except for ones at science centers before today. The IMAX movie itself was fine, the theater arrangement was fine too. However the commercials and trailers before the movie were so loud we were concerned damage was being done.
Went out to ask a theater employee if they could turn it down a bit and was advised that "the content owners don't allow them to turn down the volume on the previews and trailers". WHAT?
The movie itself either was not as loud, or the damage was already done to my hearing for the day.
Won't be going back to this theater since they are more concerned with legal mumbo-jumbo than the health of their customers.
Recommend this theater be audited by someone with a sound level meter.
