Let me start by saying I had extremely HIGH expectations for this place. I have heard great things from people, but today my expectations were dropped to the floor almost instantly.
We walked in and were seated immediately. I noticed that their menu items change due to pictures on Yelp from 8 months ago not being on their menu today. Our waitress took sometime to come to our table and when she did come over I sensed that she wasn't going to be the most personable waitress and boy was I right. She was pretty rude when it came to us asking questions about the menu. My mom asked if she could omit an ingredient from her meal and she was rude about and said no they can't do that. Why is it that big of a deal to leave something out? I asked if I could have cavatelli instead of cannelloni with my salsiccia e rapini that had sausage and rapini with red pepper beschamel and gruyere cheese. I know that it was a menu item a while back but instead of filling the cannelloni it had cavatelli noodles. That couldn't be done either. Something as easy and swapping out pastas, whatever. We waited a while for our meal to arrive and my mom received hers before I got mine because apparently the kitchen made the wrong thing. Figures. The waitress asked if we wanted bread in the mean time, shouldn't we have gotten bread from the get go? Not when our meals came out? The food was mediocre. My mom said her risotto was on the salty side. Another waitress had to come to our table to ask if we were finished because our waitress was behind the counter eating. She boxed our food up in the back and then never brought it back out for us...so we asked if we could have our food so we can leave. Overall, this was an unpleasant experience and it all stemmed from terrible service.
