| - It's a sign when the majority marks a company as a 1 star.
People, listen. Save yourself the headache and drama. Here's what happened:
The guy I spoke to to get my move set up was Kevin. He sounded way more professional than the other companies I had been calling, and he was reassuring. I was sold.
Set up a date to have everything picked up. The guys were a full day late, due to Yom Kippur and that most of their clientele or holders or whatever are Jewish. Perfectly fine, but I only found out because the driver coming to get our belongings, Mike, happened to call to let us know. His exact words were, "Nobody told you?" Why would anyone set up up for that day if they knew something was going on? That should have been a sign from the get-go.
Mike and the other guy (who picked our stuff up) were fine. They were very helpful and even funny. The issues started up later.
Kevin had told me that I would be able to track where our stuff was throughout the trip. It seems a ton of people have had this problem, but when you call anyone, NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE. So when I got someone, finally, I'd be put on hold for 10-15 minutes before getting someone BACK on the line. You will get sick of the hold music I'm telling you.
So with how our guys were a day late, we were told to talk to a manager named Kayla. After being told she'd call me back once, then twice, then so much more, I finally gave up and tried to just talk to ANYBODY. More promises of being called back. One person, Danielle, was the exception at the end of everything. But when I spoke to whomever the first few times, they couldn't FIND my items. They couldn't FIND my paperwork. THEN they were doing inventory and couldn't get back to me until the "next day". Right.
When the movers come by to pick your stuff up, they ask you what day can they not deliver before. Key point to this, it is NOT a deliver date. Whenever you put down that date and sign it, they have up to 30 days AFTER said date to deliver it to your new location. Something Kevin failed to mention.
When our stuff was supposed to be delivered, by a date provided by Kayla, I was supposed to get a call from the delivery people. Never happened because he was on lunch. Fine, not their job to give me detail, it's the main part of the company's. Then I was told from the guys when they got to my new home that their truck had broken down in Atlanta. If I was TOLD that rather than have people beat around the bush, I would've been understanding. It happens. It's a long drive from where they left to where I live. But why not be upright about it?
The delivery people were fine. Put everything up for us, and even reassembled things. Apparently they had NO IDEA that was part of the job. Another thing promised by Kevin. "Disassembly and reassembly!" Remember that.
A few plates were broken, along with other items and an heirloom wine glass. The guys dropped our dresser and it's got a helluva piece missing, and when I asked them to put the bed back together they pretty much destroyed it. So we had to go out and buy a new bedframe and headboard/footboard. A HUGE issue I had/have is that my mattress WASN'T COVERED AT ALL when they pulled it off the truck.
But even THEY were cussing Executive.
When I called Kevin when I was sorely pissed at Kayla for bullshit, he never answered, nor called me back when I told whoever took a message for him that it was important he do so. I guess his job was done because he got me to use their crap company.
I can't stress enough to you not to use this company. Don't ignore EVERYONE's reviews. The people here are awful and I'm surprised the place is still running with how bad their management is.
