  • What a huge and busy airport. I doubt I can say much more than what countless others have said. We used the shuttles late at night after returning the rental car to Hertz and traveled to terminal 2 to wait for our hotel shuttle. The airport is ginormous and confusing as hell. Fortunately it's easy to find the rental car return but I'd hate to have to navigate my way through the terminals or to pick-up or drop someone off. My flight left on time but two of my friends (a group of four all traveling to different locations in Virginia) had issues with delays. I arrived at 4:05 am via shuttle and had a few issues going through TSA security. I am TSA Pre and they didn't have a Pre area once you had your boarding pass and ID confirmed - we were all ushered into a single line - you have to keep everything out to prove you are TSA Pre and no one specified that - so when I put everything on the conveyer I was then informed if I had kept it all out - I could've walked through a side scanner - um, excuse me, how the hell would I know that? Not very organized --- not impressed.
