This would have been a 1 star review without the owner fixing our original bad experience. We bought the super saver card that gives you 5 free oil changes with oil filter changes plus some other discounts. It seemed like a great deal, especially since my husband needs more than 5 quarts and they don't overcharge for extra quarts. I also have a hybrid so I need a specific oil to keep my warranty going.
We made an appointment on a Monday for a Thursday. When we got there Thursday, I waited for 15 minutes before having to walk into the shop to ask for help. They changed the oil on my car and my husband hadn't seen them change the oil filter (and I was LONG overdue for an oil change) so he watched as they did his car and again, no change of oil filter. He confronted the guy and showed the card that said "oil change with filter". The tech got very defensive and said they were out of oil filters so there was nothing he could do and they had already drained the oil so we were stuck. We asked why they had made the appointment with us or let us come if they knew they didn't have the supplies and they had no answer. After some inappropriate words from both the tech and my husband, we planned to come back the next day for them to do it right.
Our second experience was WAY better because the owner was present. He gave us credits for our 2 oil changes back so we still have 5 to use and was very apologetic. We got our oil re-changed with the filters this time. We will continue to use our super saver card but will probably watch the oil change every time to make sure they don't try to skip the filter again. I suggest other people do that as well.
