  • I've stayed at the serene before and loved it. So when I returned to Vegas a week ago I made reservations for this hotel again. When we arrived the rooms we requested and paid for were not available as they expressed that they hosted a large party for memorial day weekend. Well it was late Wednesday night when we arrived. They placed my companion and I in rooms that were not what we had paid for. Her room had no cable and lights were burnt out. My first room did not have air conditioning and they placed me in a basic room over looking the trash cans and back alley. That room the televisions didn't work. The next afternoon, they told me that a room was ready. That room was the first one that they gave me when the air didn't work. I inquired on a specific room and they told me it wasn't ready. However, the blinds were open and it appeared unoccupied. The person I traveled with decided to tour the place so that they could become more familiarized with the layout. I received a call that they were in the lobby and that the hotel staff wanted them to be safe. Two days later I get another call from the supervisor about the same "incident" and I asked if something new had occurred. She told me no but that they were offering me a room to be closer. I asked why now when I first arrived three days ago nothing was available per our request and now you have something since this incident had occurred. The person had special needs but was no threat to anyone and is fully independent as you and I are. So she hung up I guess because she could see where this was going. I noticed other people walking around and I asked if their companion had been contacted to ensure that they were safe they told me no. I really felt as though they were singling her out because she was disabled. The next day housekeeping knocked on my door saying that I had to leave as I was scheduled to check out late at 2pm but the person I came with was good til Monday. I reassured them that it was the same reservation and that we both were leaving Monday. I had to go to the front desk and show them my itinerary and reservation confirmation. Then they have the audacity to try and say that it was fake. I had to show them the email and who sent it to me (hotels.com). Then I was told that hotels.com sent another reservation and not the one I had. It took me 15mins or longer to rectify the situation. I was very disappointed in the serene and their new management as I have stayed here before and loved it. Now, I will be returning to Vegas soon but the serene is not where we will be staying.
