| - This place is good and bad. They have a decently priced wine list, and it is in a good location, right by the movie theater. They also have a patio, which seems like the best place to sit and sip on a glass of vino.
I stopped in here randomly because I've been meaning to check it out for awhile. The bartender was friendly....maybe a little TOO friendly, if that is possible. I don't like people I don't know (who are providing me with service) to address me by "baby" and things like that. She was just kind of weird.
The food looked pretty wine bar standard....flat breads, charcuteries, cheeses, etc. I didn't eat, but it looked good.
I had 2 glasses of red wine, and when I received my check, it was a bit more than I was expecting. The bartender explained that the price I was expecting was for 1/2 glasses and I was getting full glasses (I didn't realize this was an option, and would have MUCH rather had the 1/2 glass). It was, of course, on the menu, so it was my mistake. However, it would have been nice if she would have clarifyed this with me when I ordered. She was more interested in other patrons, who she apparently knew and were ordering shots.
Also, they didn't have a closing time listed on the door, and there was a pretty good sized crowd in the place....but they just decided to close at Midnight. Suddenly they were telling everyone it was last call. Again, weird.
One really great thing: they have Templeton Rye on their menu. This is a small rye from Iowa, and I've never seen it here in Vegas. I didn't order it, but it is nice to know where I can get it!
