  • Honestly, i did not come here expecting much, but I needed to come here at least once before finalizing on my dress and I paired it up with a bridemaids appointment. One was more successful than the other. The people here was friendly enough, and on a Friday afternoon was not busy at all. After checking in, I was given a book of styles (the BMs too) and stickies for the ones I liked. The styles here are basically the same ones on the website. I did hope that they had more other than this. I spoke a bit to the consultant, and she was nice enough. I said that I had been to a couple stores and I know what I was looking for. I also said I has a front runner Alfred Sung dress and she laughed saying the Davids was a laughable comparison. I thought it was weird because my dress costed $1100 which is at the higher end of their range. The problem with choosing from books is that you don't know what type of material it is. I never got to physically look for dresses, and she went by only the stickies and her own eye. They have a lot of dresses, but most in multiple sizes. So when I saw the actual dresses, I already knew I wasnt going to like them but I had to try anyway. I felt like a bitch and a diva, but really it wasnt what I was looking for. Some had really thin material you can see thru and see the seams. One has organza but it didnt look right. One looked beautiful in the pictures but it was extremely heavy. I basically got nothing out of this. However, the BMs dress fitting was okay! Again the stickies, but she did not pull any dresses for us and we did it ourselves. I would have expected her to pull at least the ones we liked in their respective sizes for us. We settled on one style but I will be doing my research to see if it can be cheaper in the states. Unfortunately, out of the 44 colours on their website, this only comes in 2 out of the 5 purple choices. I also got a swatch which costed me $1 each, oh well. The store is located in a big SmartCentre mall, so plan also some time to check out the Townshoes Outlet!! I would say if you live in the city, worth looking at for BMs and moms, but stick to the local boutiques for your gown.
