Positives
- Quick access to the 215 highway
- Helpful staff
- Gas station available at this location
- Larger variety of store brands than the Valley Verde location
- Prices are lower for the same quality of food compared to Vons, Albertsons, and even Walmart (for certain items)
- Better sales than Walmart, usually equal to better sales than Vons or Albertsons
- Digital coupons
- Sanitary stations at entrances and at meat sections (see pic)
- Fuel points for each $1 of purchased in store, bringing personal reusable bags (5 points each bag), purchasing gift cards (x4 points). 100 points = 10 cents off per gallon
- In June, July, and August, you receive x2 fuel points for each $1 spent in store on Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday
- 3 cents off per gallon of gas for Smith's cardholders
- Low price option for many items that are still of acceptable quality
- Small baskets available for utilization for better maneuverability compared to large cart when you have only a few items to purchase
- Clearance item shelves available at this store (see picture)
- Never extremely packed in the evening on weekdays, usually a quick in and out
- Free produce/fruit for children when parents bring them (see pic)
- Pretty good sushi section with fresh sushi made directly in front of you (see picture)
- premade sandwich and other foods section for quick take-out and consumption
Negatives
- Smith's Digital Coupon site continues to require me to reset my password each time I attempt to access coupons
- Can never find small carts, only large carts or baskets
- No digital weigh station for produce
- The self-checkout booths can be frustrating, often requiring an attendant to continue the purchase.
- Only 1 attendant at self-checkout of 6 stations, so wait can take longer than a line sometimes if the process is stopped by machine error, coupons, or liquor sale.
This has been my staple grocery store, and my favorite Smith's in Henderson. I go here every week for groceries and whenever I need gas. Doug has been the best employee I have worked with, he is very helpful and polite. There is a bakery with hours of 7 am - 9 pm every day where you can make custom requests. Finding the cheese and dairy section is easier to find at this Smith's (in the very back) than the Valley Verde location (down a random aisle). Also, just like every place in the Vegas-Henderson area, there are of course slot machines.
