  • This airline appears to be an economical choice. BEWARE!!! I have been forced to fly Allegiant as no other airline flies direct to my desired destination. You pay for your seat(does not recline and leg room is minimal) carry on, and checked luggage. I fly A LOT and my bag fits easily in overhead bins, even smaller planes. Our experience has been that whatever they have to do to get more money from you, they will. What is considered carry on at departure....EVERY TIME, will be considered check luggage on your return. This is how they get their money. So, pay to check luggage at ticket purchase. Don't listen to direction at departure and expect the same at your destination. Military have special consideration everywhere....even they have those rules ignored with Allegiant. I saw mother of two toddlers pay over $100 for overweight luggage WITH active military ID. Beat them at their game. Check everything and keep business dealings minimal. Better yet....fly SOUTHWEST!!!
