This was the best part of our trip - thanks to the hotel and TravelZoo we were able to get the dollar for dollar promotion. Room rate = Food and Beverage Credit. We were able to get 2 breakfasts, drinks, 2 fancy dinners, drinks, 3 lunches with only going 28 cents over our credit. The resort fee is minimal (appox $10 per person)for all they offer: bikes, canoes, fishing and paddle boats. The hotel is centrally located between downtown Scottsdale, the Fashion Mall and Camelback Mountain. The inside is a bit old it shows in some spots but isn't a huge issue. Who is inside with all that great weather? We stayed in a standard hotel room - they also have villa's that you can rent on the lake. Our room had a small patio where we ate breakfast each day. The pool was very relaxing and had a great view of the lake. We did go out on a canoe and used the bikes one morning.
The rooms were in a good condition - our fridge was a bit leaky and the wallpaper was peeling away. Other than that it was a very nice. The patio was great except for the sprinklers that would floor it ever 15 minutes. *Note to all - watch for the sprinklers. We didn't realize what that weird noise was until it was too late* The hotel does offer 2 computers for guests to use complimentary which was very nice. Staff was friendly, restaurant wasn't that busy and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Pool-side service is always a plus they have some great mixed drinks there. I would stay here again.
