| - I switch between Amazing Yoga and Yoga Flow, and there is defiantly a different vibe to the two, I pick based on my mood and schedule where I go for the day. Amazing Yoga is more of a power, quick pace, cardio workout. They're focus isn't on perfect positioning, holding poses for a long time, or lots of meditation talk-- its about making your heart race and working out using yoga as a base. I could see how it would be a hard studio for newer yogis, the transitions are fast and they don't walk you through each pose. You're kind of expected to know the basics. Even in the yoga basics classes I'm not sure I've noticed a lot more teaching. The instructors don't really reposition you often, which I prefer because I like my personal space when I'm that sweaty...
If you're a student, its a pretty good deal for the 10 course package. I would like to see some more variety to the classes as the yoga basic and yoga power are starting to get repetitive. I think they are starting to do that by offering yoga flow and slow now, so we'll see. They also have lots of rotating workshops focusing on different themes or skills, but they cost $25-30 each.
Just fyi, some classes get way overcrowded, like 5:30 on sunday, to the point where peoples mats are near touching. They don't ever turn anyone away, even when it seems one more body in the room would suffocate us all. I've learned to avoid those times. For a different experience, check out my review on Yoga Flow.
