| - Tried this place out on a Friday, with visiting family after looking for a unique place to try downtown. Three of us enjoyed the beer happy hour special over an appetizer of cheese curds. The curds were hot and flavorful, but the portion was much smaller than we were expecting for the price. The service here was fantastic, with a friendly and attentive waitress, which made our experience. The food was good. My husband got the fish and chips special which he said was okay. Three in my party got wraps that were recommended by the waitress. She was right-they were good. Another of us got the pulled pork mac and cheese and allowed us all to try it. That was great! The reason I'm not giving more stars is due to the overall dark and dingy atmosphere. The building is very small, with limited space, especially for larger parties. We were a party of 6 and were lucky it wasn't a busy night here, as there were only two booths that would have accommodated us, and that was with pulling a chair up on the end. We thought the atmosphere here would be a bit more fun and funky, but proved instead to be very dark with not a whole lot of character. Good if you're looking for a low-key, relaxed meal, but not great for groups looking for a fun, brighter atmosphere.
