Getting to the M is simple and no problems like you would on the strip. Nice Casino and the pool is very popular with locals (didn't go to the pool during this experience). Swim for free Monday, Wednesday and Thursday before noon as a local; if you are a woman, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays, ladies admitted free before noon, men half price. Free parking for all, so you don't have to lose money and worry about your vehicle if you have to leave it overnight because you are a responsible individual who doesn't want to drive after drinking. Locals always get 30% off rooms, so that is a plus. My company had a holiday party in the Lux penthouse on the top floor, but I had to ask for staff assistance to find the elevators, which are private specifically for the penthouse, not sure if it is always that way or if it was for that night. Immediate impression was that the penthouse was too narrow for a party with 200 guests, and the night demonstrated that when all the guests finally arrived. With all of the tables full, it is hard to squeeze by in places to make it across the rooms. The dance floor was also pretty small, so the amount of people that could fit on it was about 20-25 shoulder to shoulder I would say, and for the size of the guest list, that is pretty small.
The catered food options were chicken thighs, beef tenderloin, and salmon meat choices, 2 salads, pasta w/ Italian marinara, roasted potato cubes, multiple bread options. Desert was also available of chocolate and vanilla swirl cakes. The chocolate was moist, but the vanilla swirl was tough. Wine was $14 for a glass of the cheapest wine, though the bartender did pour the glass pretty high. The lighting was low, so many pictures come out dark and if you are taking pictures with the windows behind to overlook the strip, the view is blurred if you use the flash. The balconies had the best bet for pictures. Overall, it was still a great experience!
