| - I went here as part of a bridal party this past weekend, and I'm kind of stuck in the middle as far as how I feel about them.
I didn't have any pictures to show the girl who did my hair and makeup (so I know this is partially my fault) but for my hair I told her I wanted loose waves with a lot of volume and movement... which is not what I got. When she finished up, the curls were super tight! I asked her if they were going to loosen up any more and she said by the end of the night they would be really loose. Well the problem is I don't really care what they look like at the end of the night, I need them to look good for walking down the aisle and taking pictures. Even right before the wedding I was running my hands through my hair over and over but there was so much hairspray on it, it didn't make any difference. In fact, even the day after, after brushing many many times, it's still more curly than wavy.
I wasn't super impressed with my makeup either, it felt heavy on my face and I felt like I looked a lot older than I am. I have dark circles and bags under my eyes, so to me it's important that if I'm paying a lot of money, things like that will be well concealed. I asked for a heavy smokey eye, which she did a really good job on the eyeshadow part, but on the bottom she only did a black line in my waterline - this might have been some miscommunication though since she was asking me a little bit about it and I wasn't sure exactly what she was getting at, but I ended up having to touch it up myself.
I will say all the girls there were super nice and accommodating, and the salon itself was really clean and upbeat. Maybe if the prices were a *bit* lower I would recommend this salon to other people.
