As a native Bostonian I have to admit that I do miss the skyline, the cramped streets and 'feel' of an actual factual city and while the NYNY is, in its own tacky way, imitating New York of all places (joke*.. no not really) it finds the mark. I've been there numerous times over the years for some light gaming and the old ESPN Zone, I had never stayed as a guest as most Strip hotels don't often cater to locals but after finding a great deal I took a mini stay-cation in one of their 'Spa Suites' with the in room (not bathroom, in the actual room) hot tub and nice view of the Western valley from the 23rd floor. Ate at the Italian restaurant in the casino (the proper name escapes me, unfortunately) with a very adequate pre-fi menu. With plenty of choices for drinks and tidbits to eat (even if a lil' pricey), it made for a great stay. If you can find a deal, I recommend it.
