| - I came to this place twice. First time was okay, Im not too sure who my technician was the first time but I got full set acrylic done. It was pretty nice. However while filling down my nails with the drill, I felt at times that he was going really thin with my real nail and sometimes he would hit the skin near my nails and it hurt slightly, but not as much as this past experience did. I went here a couple of days ago because I wanted to treat my boyfriend and I to a pedicure. The pedicure was great but my boyfriend complained that the massage he got was not too great. The main thing I wanted to do was to repair two of my nails that had broken off.
So I went to another salon prior just to get a FILL because this salon was closed. They did not change anything with my nail excepts took off the gel color I had on, filled my nails and reshaped them to be a bit more pointy at the ends. They did not really file them down much. However, when I came back to this salon, just to repair the two nails that broke, my nail tech I was given, he goes by John, tells me that I should just get a entirely new full set. I decline a couple of times because I do not want to pay for a whole new set when I just got them filled last week. He then tells me that I should because my nails are too thin which is why they are breaking easily. After he keeps pushing this idea on me I decide to just go with it and get a whole new set. I'm still finishing up my pedicure then John begins to remove my nails. I should have known this was going ot go bad when all he did was just cut my nails shorter and remove my polish before trying to remove my nails. He did not attempt to file it down more so it would be easier, he went right into it and used a pair of nail tips to prye off my nails. A lot of my nail was ripped off and I was in pain. I told him when it hurt but even when I did, it still hurt when he continued. I didn't realize until later but a huge chunk of my nail was ripped off and he said its because I broke the fake nail on that finger so it damaged my real nail. It's funny because I never had that problem before. I broke off a few nails before but when I got them professionally removed, it never hurt this bad. Just look at the pictures for yourself and you be the judge of that. If I wanted to rip off half of my nail, I would have just done it myself at home. Honestly, I have removed acrylic nails at home my self and I have never EVER ripped off my nails like this before. He offered to still put a new set on or I could come back in a few weeks to get them done. Honestly, I did not see how he can or should be putting fake nalis on my really damaged nails so I just said I'll come back in a few weeks. Probably not going to come back anyways as I am going to Hawaii for summer break next week. My nails were throbbing and he asked me if they still hurt and I said yes so he put NAIL GLUE on the parts where my nail ripped off. I don't know if thats customary but it did not help at all regardless. Very upset and they still actually charged me $10 for the "nail removal." This visit was an absolute joke.
