  • I've been frequenting Duo for over a year and a half so it is surprising to me that I've not reviewed this cafe already. From the first time I walked into Duo during their soft opening week, I was blown away by the clean look and feel of the space but more importantly by the taste of their pastries. I've tried a number of their croissants, cakes, and mini cakes and really have not been disappointed by any of them. My personal favourites include the Hazel, which features dark chocolate mousse enrobed in chocolate ganache over a hazelnut praline, dacquoise and sesame crust. I also love their lemon basil shortbread tart, and their Virgo pastry with espresso mousse and shortbread crust. They take orders for larger sized versions of their cakes. Truly everything is delicious here. I highly recommend their croissants (particularly their apple pastry), but make sure you go before noon (especially on weekends) to ensure the best selection of pastries. Savoury pastries are also available. I love that this place is warm and inviting and the food and desserts are fantastic. I also love that I no longer have to drive downtown or midtown to get quality French style pastries. If you're looking for a nice place to have quality quality beverages and Asian inspired French pastries that are not overly sweet, you have to try Duo!
