Compared to the buffet at Mandarin Oriental, Wynn, M, Bellagio and Rio, I found the selection and quality of the seafood and dessert at Bacchanal to be mediocre and overpriced ($50.99/pp).
A few of my disappointments:
1) They did not have souffle that night and ran out of green tea mochi by 7pm???
2) They did not have stone crab...(Stone crab season: from October to May).
3) Some of the crab legs were still frozen (it was like biting into crab leg popsicle).
4) The oyster shooters smelled bad and I simply found them to be unappetizing
5) The line for the seafood station was at least 20 minutes.
6) Some of the meat in the meat station were either over salted or bland.
What was decent there? As sad as this may sound...just their taco station and asian food station.
If you want to do an AYCE experience in Vegas, I highly recommend the Sunday brunch at Mozen (at Mandarin Oriental).
And, the restaurant appeared short staffed because it was difficult to find our server to refill our drinks or have our plates taken away. Also, they should provide wet naps when they see guests with crab legs (their most popular item and it wasn't even that good).
Would not recommend!
