| - I love the Bellagio! The view of the hotel is amazing, and best of all, it's right by the fountains for the show which shows every 15 minutes.
The service was great, and sometimes, the welcome desk will do whatever they can to make sure you can get an upgrade from the room you originally booked. We were able to get an upgrade to a higher floor for a better view. At first, I was worried if we were on a higher floor, we'd have to wait and spend extra time in the elevator but there's a whole other elevator for those who are on the top floors. Best of all, the casinos, restaurants and shops are just on the main floor so if you ever want to gamble, eat or shop away, it's just on the main floor. Most of the stores are on the high end so I wasn't really into the shopping but the experience of the hotel was simply amazing. There's also the $20 sandwich tip where you could give to the front desk for an upgrade.
I'm not sure if it was just our hotel room because they were probably trying to clean it up as fast as they could but there was an interesting stench as soon as we walked in (4.5 stars for that). The overall room was fantastic, and I know this may sound odd but the washroom was pretty nice! They provided most of the toiletry we needed in case you forgot them at home. They even had shower caps which I personally left at home and needed so it was much appreciated.
The poolside was the best part. From observing the other pools from other hotels, I have to say Bellagio has the best one. It can be tricky to find, but it's just an elevator to the ground floor and it's there. They will ask for your key card so make sure you have that. Towels and robes are provided. Lifeguards are on duty and there's a jacuzzi. If you're into the poolside, I would highly recommend the Bellagio.
Also, as soon as you check in, I would recommend getting the M life card for discounts. You could even pick up tickets at any MGM Resort if you've booked any ahead of time!
