I can offer these pluses for you. The access to the animals is good, the sky tram is worth the $, and you can always see the animals when you approach the cages. The aquarium is nice and the signage good.
Here are the challenges. Bring cash and quarters if you want to feed the animals, no credit cards. The rides cost money around $4 a person, which is not included in your entrance fee. The number of birds is insane, the enclosures (cages here) are shabby, run down, and would not pass in the Pacific Northwest. It is extremely dusty so wear closed shoes not sandals. There is limited shade so be prepared for the sun. The aquarium is cramped and not suitable for strollers, none of the inside exhibits are spacious except the dragon one, and the washrooms were all disgusting.
The grandparents felt awful for dragging us there but I did not think it was horrible. I have for sure experienced better facilities and wild life preserves that in my opinion do a better job of creating the animal's habitats. Bottom line: The ability to see animals was great; it is not suitable for very young children. School age kids would enjoy it and if seeing animals regardless of their living conditions is your goal give this a go. We will not go back and will not recommend it to our friends.
