If you have not discovered this little jewel in the desert, you must stop everything and go grab a pasty and a cold beer.
I have been a frequent visitor of this establishment since its very humble beginnings in Tempe where they were so tiny and you had to wait for a chance open spot at the bar. They have since expanded the original location in Tempe and opened two more locations in Mesa and Scottsdale.
I tend to frequent the Mesa location due to its location and convenience for me. There is a bigger hipster college crowd in Tempe, and a great place to be as well.
My mainstay is a cup of tomato soup, which is unlike any around. I have been disappointed with many restaurants tomato soup, but this one never disappoints. It comes with a couple slices of bread and real butter.
I then order any number of pasty's, and I must say I have never met a one I didn't like. The Rosemary Chicken is always a great bet, they also offer many pasty's as vegetarian options, and have a vegan pasty of the day, just ask.
The beer selection is the bomb, and you can't beat $3.00 Irish Car Bombs all day everyday.
A great place to bring your out of townies and family, as well as make it a weekly stop for yourself.
