OK I'm just going to say it: now that Pavlov's is gone this is the best pizza in Madison.
Most Madisonians are used to bleached flour and extra sausage. This is actual food. Corn meal crust, non-overwhelming toppings of high quality, extremely thin and crispy. I'm pretty sure that this place could make it as a neighborhood staple in almost any city.
Their pesto pizza is highly recommended, as is their surprisingly good pasta. Garlic bread is shockingly good (how'd they make the butter taste that good?) but it's a bit overpriced.
Best to come during non-peak hours because it gets pretty crowded and there's no good place to wait. Pizza holds up well if you order to-go; alas there's no delivery.
