They say the devil is in the details and I'd expect a restaurant at The Four Seasons to have a handle on the details. Unfortunately, that ball was dropped. Hard.
The hostess was mildly unpleasant. The waiter was stand-offish and slow. And, considering the restaurant had more staff than customers at the time we visited, the service was surprisingly inattentive.
We came for happy hour because the happy hour menu was attractive and well priced (especially for Vegas and The Four Seasons). The Mozzarella Carrozza was delicious and I would have gladly ordered a second plate had I been pleased with the service (almost being impaled with silverware when the server *threw* them down on the table in front of us was a big miss).
The drinks were quite good as well. I enjoyed the Mai Thai, although it seems the bartender overfilled the drink; the glass was sticky. I'd expect that at a dive-bar, but not from The Four Seasons.
Overall, I was sorely disappointed with my visit to Veranda. Given the other reviews for this lounge, I'd hope my experience was the exception and not the rule. However, considering this establishment is representing one of the premier luxury hotels, I'd expect a higher level of service and a more polished experience. Perhaps my next visit will be better.
