| - Was really pleasantly surprised by this place! The outside is of course endearing in its ability to be so well hidden, but stepping inside is so unlike any other restaurant like it I've seen in this city. Stained glass above the bar, skylights, old wood everywhere, and everything smells like oaky red wine.
I'm typically pretty wary of these hipster places for both ambiance and food, but the music was a reasonable volume, the service was decent, and the food was fantastic.
The food menu is small, but I'm fairly picky and I was torn between so many
things. I ended up with the Spatz & Cheese which was so delicious! Served with an egg yolk to mix in, and definitely left me happy.
And if you want a drink, the drink menu goes on for 12 pages longer than the food. We didn't get one - instead we wanted tea, but apparently they don't service any hot drinks. Seems a bit odd.
Overall can't wait to go back!
