  • If you're dirt poor and want to come to Vegas, or simply coming on a budget, stay at Excalibur. We came for NYE weekend on a last minute whim with a bunch of girls. Side note: Vegas is damn crazy during NYE weekend!! We got their regular guest rooms for the weekend and each girl literally paid about $13. They have different towers, which totally confused me. I found myself getting lost the majority of the weekend. Maybe because the staff expected NYE weekend to be crazy, but I thought our room was pretty loud and rowdy. And we continued to be loud into the wee hours of the morning. We never once got a warning to keep things down. Their guest rooms are so outdated. I felt like I was on acid staring at their bedsheets and curtains. They really need to look into changing the decor in these rooms. The rooms are real tiny, but that is to be expected. We rarely spent time at Excalibur, so there isn't much to say. Their only redeeming quality may be that Thunder From Down Under is here. I haven't seen it yet, but I will be checking it out! Excalibur is near the end of the strip, by Luxor and Mandalay Bay. Keep that in mind when you're trying to decide where to stay! In all honesty, if you don't have kids coming along, stay at Bally's instead. They're on the other side of the strip, the fun side, and they offer competitive prices compared to Excalibur.
