| - Haven is the Toronto branch of a cross-Canadian company that specializes in bringing Japanese streetwear across the ocean to North America. They've got a store in Vancouver as well, which is a little bigger and better stocked.
Their stock consists of brands like Engineered Garments, Visvim, Comme des Garçons, wtaps, Neighborhood, and similar designers. In terms of pricing, you can expect to pay almost double the japanese sticker price for these items. Whether or not that's worth it is up to how much you value convenience - for me personally, I don't really buy anything here unless it hits deep sale, instead preferring to buy the pieces from Rakuten Global or Yahoo Japan Auctions. However, that's obviously much more of an effort, and if you've got big money and want to look like you just got streetstyled in Tokyo, it makes sense to check this place out.
Customer service is where this place loses most of it's shine though. Most stores in this pricerange either cater to celebrities and ignore the hoi polloi, like serpentine does, or are super friendly to everyone, like nomad. As far as I can tell, though...haven doesn't really pay attention to anyone there? They basically make sure I'm not stealing the things I try on and that's about it. I've heard horror stories about their online delivery but have been fortunate enough to not experience that myself, but even when i'm buying things they act like they're doing me a favor.
The attitude combined with the frankly exorbitant pricing means that I'm only finding myself in there once or twice a year, and even then i end up trying on 1000$ undercover sneakers that are on yjp for $150.
