| - The owner of this business, and head trainer is an embarrassment to the dog community. Please, steer clear of this company, find another dog training company anywhere else.
We went to a puppy "gymboree" (meet and greet) with our 8 week old puppy and left with the absolute worst experience. The puppies and their owners were placed into a room with toys and treats and were allowed to play and socialize with one another.
We took our (large breed) 8 week old puppy to this class where we met with the trainer. As soon as we walked in we were met with rude and condescending remarks about the appearance of our (large breed) dog. We were immediately told that the breed of our dog would have behavioural and aggression issues and will be a liability his whole life.
Once the puppies began to play and socialize with the other dogs and an interaction didn't go as planned (we're talking about puppies here), she berated the owner, grabbed the leash and dragged the puppy away. In some cases she basically dragged the puppy by the neck through the floor. It was extremely uncalled for and all the owners were shocked. When owners asked on how to deal with any issues the puppy may have, she scolded them saying "this isn't a training class" and were told to drag the puppy into the corner (in order to punish them).
When our puppy got into a growling match over a toy with several other dogs, we were told to leave due to owning an "aggressive" dog. My wife left in tears and was told to contact large dog breed trainers that specialize in aggressive dogs.
Every single trainer we called told us the same thing. A dog is never aggressive at such a young age of 8 weeks and told ignore this incompetent dog trainer.
It's been almost 2 years since this incident and I'm happy to report that our "aggressive" dog has had absolutely 0 issues. He has met and interacted with dogs every single day since we've had him, probably totalling well over 1000+ dogs and owners, usually off leash, without incident. He's a regular at the dog park, crowded festivals, incredibly gentle with small dogs and kids, everything we had hoped for. He's an incredible dog.
If you're looking for a dog trainer, please look elsewhere. This company and trainer isn't interested in dogs, she's interested in pumping the most amount of docile dogs through her class in order to maximize her profits without any issues. She's an embarrassment to the dog community and should not be anywhere near these loving creatures.
