| - I came here for a week long training, in the summer, in 100-110 degree weather. Yeah. You think you know where I'm going. I stayed in 1325, which was a recently renovated room. I checked in pretty easily and found my room. This whole hotel is going under renovations, most of the rooms are under construction as they put in new carpet and sinks and such.
When I arrived to my room, that was what I noticed. However, when I walked in the bathroom I found that the bath tub was a little dirty. And then when I closed the door, it's just such a weird layout. There's no where to hang your towels, other than behind the door which means the door has to be closed to do that. Where's the toilet paper? Behind the door, on the wall. So when you're in there doing your business, you have to close the door... There's not that much space in the bathroom. However, you do have a living room. I don't really care for the living room, and honestly I rather have a really nice bathroom with no living room because I'm mostly on my bed in hotel rooms anyways. The towel rack is hanging in the other side of the bathroom where the sink is.
During my visit, there were reports that there were bed bugs... Yeah. Bed. Bugs. I haven't been to any hotel in a very long time that had reports of bed bugs. They changed their room, however they basically locked that person out of their room and threw all of their clothes in a high heat dryer and said that they would mail it to them. Just thinking about it makes me itch. If you've never had bed bugs, I would highly suggest that I hope you never get them. But, hotel with bed bugs? That says a lot.
Since there were reports, I wanted to make sure that my room didn't have any bed bugs as well. They sent someone to inspect my room when I was out. They stripped the bed and all of that to check...okay. When I come back about 6-7 hours after, I come back to a room with the bed sheets on the floor and pillows on benches. Alright, maybe I just missed the house keepers. I call the front office and they tell me that they will come soon. I leave the room for dinner (3 hours), and guess what happens when I come back? Yep, they still haven't made my bed or visited to restock/clean my room. I call again and then they come... at 9 pm.
For the conference, let's just say the logic of hot coffee was served outside upstairs under a patio was extremely stupid. On top of that putting a flame under the coffee pot heated the handle, which only ended up in burning my hand as it was too hot to touch. Thanks Hilton! If you're going to serve coffee for a conference or for some sort of business gathering, keep it inside if outside is 100 degree weather.
So overall, I would never come here again. Amenities wise, I didn't really check it out, but honestly it's just a pool and a lazy river. I guess if that's your style of vacation, then I can't really say anything but for me it was purely for work. If I go on vacation, I'm always moving to see and experience new things. No thanks, this place was not a place that I would ever go on a resort for, and if you're a business person thinking about using this hotel to host it... look elsewhere.
