| - Please be aware that the specials they advertise on their website are FALSE ADVERTISING! I went on "ladies night" which was advertised as free for girls. When I got to the door, the bouncer told me that it was going to be $5. I was annoyed, but then when I got to the cashier I was told it was going to be $10!!! (If I hadn't just spent a fortune on a cab ride to get there, I would've walked away.)
When I got inside, I hated the place even more. But, instead of a general rant about how horrible Stoney's is, I rather just make sure people know exactly what kind of club it is... the same things that I hate about it, other people might like.
If you love two-stepping, do not come here. This is NOT a true dance hall. You have to wait 45 minute intervals to get one two-stepping song. The rest of the time there is line dancing and rap music. Plus, the place is filled with guys in Ed Hardy shirts and girls in stilettos. So, the d.j's cater to that crowd.
Basically, if you're not a country fan, and just want to do something silly with your friends, you're probably going to have a blast. The club celebrates all the country cliches and has hot girls on the counters wearing cowboy boots. And, no one is going to care if you get out there and try and line dance, without knowing the moves.
But, if you are a Two-stepper, are used to Texas dance halls (where line-dancing is banned), and have a love of country music, you are going to HATE, HATE, HATE this place.
Overall, I'm still disgusted by the fact that they prey on tourists... advertising fake deals because they don't have to rely on repeat business.
