  • One of the best things about living in Vegas is access to some of the best spas in the country. So when a friend was coming to town and wanted to hit the spa, I was all for it. I've been to numerous spas both on and off the strip and I've found that they typically charge around $100 for a 50 minute. She was looking to save a little so I told her to pick where she wanted to go. As she was staying across the street at Caesars she chose the Flamingo for its lower cost and proximity. Not only is the entrance to the casino, spa, parking garage, etc. filthy and uninviting, but it was the worst massage ever! I got a prenatal massage as I was around 11 weeks pregnant. I've previously had three other prenatal massages at other local and out of state spas so I do feel I have some experience to compare it to. My masseuse was very young and did not appear to have much experience. She was nice and so I hesitate to be so critical, but at the end of the day I'm paying for these twice and the automatically added gratuity. My major complaint was the talking. I'm pregnant, I have a 7 month old son at home, I work full time, I'm here to relax!! I am not here to learn about your upbringing, your relationship, where you want to live, how many kids you want, and I certainly don't want to answer all your labor questions; I'm here to forget the world for 50 minutes! As for the actual massage...uneventful - I could have gotten a rub down from my husband half asleep that would have felt the same. She really just moved her oiled hands back and forth everywhere- she did not get any of the areas that needed attention or work out any knots. I didn't complain at checkout simply because I wanted my friend to have a positive experience. She'd never had a massage at a spa and thought hers was great. I think if she was aware of the nicer options out there, she'd feel differently. Finally the amenities are mediocre at best...some infused water and a few in-need-of-renovation hot tubs. The whole experience was depressing. Spend the extra $10 and go somewhere else.
