We stayed here the first weekend in June for our anniversary- it was not our first Cambria stay and we really had our hearts set on staying North Shore.... however- knowing the quality of Cambria, we decided to stay here. The location is directly next to the Consol Energy Center, which is convenient if you are in town for a Pens Game- we were here during the Stanley Cup playoffs, but they were in SJ at the time, so no experience with crowds or noise. We walked down to North Shore the first night and hung out down there- the walk is not too bad (It may be 2 miles, but we are both athletic and don't mind walking) Sunday we went to a Pirates game and took the T there and walked back with no issues!
Now on to the room- we had a King Suite- view was of the parking lot- but that doesn't bother me, we were not in an area where I cared about a view. The bed was heavenly- the way a bed should always be when you travel and the reason I would always look to see if there is a Cambria available when booking a hotel. There were 2 flat screen TVs in the room- and the bathroom had a very nice large shower- an actual shower and not a Tub/Shower! There was a pool/spa, but we did not take advantage of it in this stay- looked very nice though
The parking charge was $18.00 per day- with in/out service- It was cheaper than most Downtown hotels- which was nice
I would definitely recommend staying at this Cambria (and any Cambria)
