| - Another great breakfast find in the Vegas area!
Well, it wasn't necessarily a 'find' considering we attempted to roll through during a prior LV trip and the line was out the door. This time, we walked right in and found a seat without a problem.
To share, we ordered French toast sticks and our Yelp check-in came with a free order of 'pot' bread. Who knew Vegas could consistently dish out amazing pieces of breaded sweetness!? The French toast sticks were a crisp golden brown, doused with cinnamon & powdered sugar, buttered and came with a side of good ol' fashioned syrup. The pot bread was truly a surprising delight. Scratch that, the NUTELLA PEANUT BUTTER it came with was truly the surprising delight. Sooo rich, so sugary.. *Sweats profusely* I actually don't like sugar rushes. I triggered one here and don't plan on having another one anytime soon.
I grabbed the chicken fried steak in country gravy with eggs over easy and home fries. I feel like I say this every time I eat this meal at a new location, but easily one of the best chicken fried steaks I've had in awhile. HUGE portion size that could easily feed two; Breaded with seasons that tickle the senses, a milky / creamy chicken gravy, moist insides and packed with a crunch. The gravy wasn't slopped all over the plate either. Right down the center of the steak with the ends just sticking out - you know it's the real deal when you subtract the gravy and have the steak bare.. if it's good without the gravy, then you have yourself a winner. In this case it was a complete winner.. The home fries were up to par too - with caramelized onions, bell peppers, crisp edges and just enough salt. But really, I can't believe I wasted stomach space on the sweet stuff. I was relatively upset when I realized I was already full just about halfway through.. So, I unbuckled my pants and let the button go. We were finishing this off no matter what. Every bite was savored, and not forgotten.
Our service was great, from hostess, to waitress, to the busser who rolled through and took plates not being used as well as various staff members giving the complimentary coffee / water refill here and there. Nothing weird happened, everyone was smiling, the prices were low and my stomach was appreciative.
