| - I just got back from a trip to Las Vegas. My awesome dad surprised my husband and I with a getaway, courtesy of his time share (thanks, RCI and the Tahitian!) but the thing is, we also sneaked our dog in. I didn't want to pay the pet fees, so we didn't notify the hotel we would be having him with us. He's a great dog who never barks, so I figured they'd be none the wiser. I had no idea, however, that he would end up somehow contracting a bacterial infection (Craig Road Animal Hospital fixed him right up, so they're going to be my next review) and he got violently ill all over the room. The stains were not coming up, but worse than that, that SMELL threatened to cause us to get sick, too.
The Tahitian actually does offer room cleaning, but I was afraid we'd get charged big time for the dog. I was in a panic and ended up doing a Google search. Tidy Maids popped up due to their high Yelp score and when I called to talk to them, I frantically explained my situation. I didn't get any judgment or laughter, just a helpful supply of dates and costs. They were, thankfully, available within two hours. They came over, shooed my husband out of the room (I was at the vet with the dog) and did an amazing job. Best of all, the smell was totally GONE. I don't mean masked by air freshener; I mean that it had truly disappeared. I don't know what they did, but it must have involved performing an exorcism.
The dog was fine and the Tahitian never breathed a word about a problem with our room after we checked out. Tidy Maids saved the day, and our deposit.
