  • I had a hot date last Saturday night at the Organ Stop... and it definitely ended on a high note (pun intended). Of course, my "date" was my 3 yr old son and the night ended at 6:30pm with strawberry ice cream - but if that's the kind of night you're looking for then the Organ Stop won't disappoint :) We arrived at 4:45 to beat the rush but I didn't anticipate the senior citizen rush that had started at 4:30, so it was crowded. We waited about 10 min in line for food but I was prepared with my order and cash so it went smoothly enough. The dining room was PACKED no lie. There were a few open tables but only in corners upstairs where you couldn't see the organist, so what would be the point? We finally found 3 people sitting at an 8 person table near the stage who were nice enough to share with my son and me. Honestly, all the people there seemed really nice; they were mostly older and smiled and laughed at my son when he was being his exuberant self during the music. I was pretty astonished at how well he behaved. It took about 20 min after we sat down for our food to be ready - small pizza, basket of fried zucchini, mushrooms, and mozzarella, and small salad. I thought the food was good, not amazing but better than some of the other posters made it sound. The salad bar was very basic and definitely the low point of our meal, but at $2.99 not a huge deal. My son enjoyed his pizza, so if he eats - I'm happy. The organist was fantastic! Some of the songs he played were that Dancing Cats song with the puppets (my son was mesmerized), theme from Star Wars (my fave), A Wonderful World, some kind of Choo Choo train song, Abba, etc. There was also a set of patriotic songs played for soldiers in the audience which I thought was cool. In summary, it was a fun place to take my son for dinner. Everyone was friendly, the beer was cheap (yes, I had a pint, shhh) , and my kid was entertained long enough for me to actually finish my own dinner before telling me he wanted to leave. I will be taking him again for sure!
